Transcript Orders

An official transcript is the University’s certified statement of your complete NMSU academic record, including coursework, grades, and degrees earned. Credits earned through transfer work are listed but do not include grades and are not included in the NMSU GPA calculation.

Whether delivered as a digitally signed PDF or a printed copy, the official transcript includes features that ensure the authenticity and security of the document.

  • eTranscripts (digital transcripts) are delivered to any valid email address as a secure, certified PDF. Cost is $13.50.
  • Printed paper Transcripts are delivered by first-class mail or, for an additional shipping fee of $25.00, by UPS Next Day delivery. Cost is $12.50.
  • Printed paper Transcripts may be picked up, on the Las Cruces campus, by previously scheduled appointment only. Cost is $12.50.

To ensure timely delivery, we recommend that you have critical official transcripts sent electronically whenever possible.

An Apostille is confirmation that a document is authentic. Apostilles are most often needed by students who are working outside the United States of America and international students. The Apostille process does take time, both to produce the original document and for you to send and receive your documents from the State of New Mexico. Please plan accordingly.

When NMSU Student Records Office receives an apostille request, the staff will print the requested document(s), procure the signature of the University Registrar, and notarize the document. The document(s) and notary statement will be mailed, first class, to the address specified by you (the requestor).

It is your responsibility, as the requestor, to send the information to the State of New Mexico Secretary’s Office for the Apostille.

See the State of New Mexico Apostille Information for steps to complete after you have receive the notarized documents from New Mexico State University.
